Hey, ho… #

let’s go!

2025 and here I am, starting a tech website to share some blog posts and tutorials. No one can argue I’m always ahead of the curve…

Jokes aside, hopefully the first of many posts to come. Thanks for reading!

What to expect #

My current (tech) interests are computer networks in general, in a broad sense: from SW and HW dataplanes, routing protocols, the Linux networking stack, eBPF, network monitoring/pmacct to Kubernetes networking.

I am also interested in system’s programming and software development in general, so things like git, CI, tooling and libraries might also pop up.

Puffs #

This quote from Johnny Ramone’s stuck with me 1:

People have other things to do. […] Let them be entertained for an hour and go do something else.

Puffs are short 2-3 minute blog posts, so that you can read them and “go do something else”. Not all posts will be that short, but I’ll try hard to keep my Mediterranean roots under control.

Tutorials #

In my opinion, there is no better way of learning than “learning by doing”. Tutorials are written with the same spirit in mind as Puffs, but they go deeper and have a hands-on approach.

About the bitpuff.io domain #

I tried to get some inspiration on the “short and sweet” blog posts concept, and puff felt like it captured that essence, and worked well with bit from the networking angle.

Also… it was available.

The usual disclaimer #

No employer, organization, […] 🤖

I think you get the point 😅.

What’s next? #

I have a pile of diverse content to upload, so there is that.

I would also like to opensource the content in  bitpuff-io, and let others contribute if they feel for it. I haven’t figured out just yet how to make Hugo with Congo work with multiple authors, so that proper credit is given.
